...12DEC03. Due to writer inactivity Dorado Weyr has been closed for an indefinate time period. Dorado Weyr founder Kenneth Thacker and the Dorado Weyr Board of directors hope to reopen the weyr again sometime in the future. At this time real life pressures and the desire to engage in other activities make it impossible to continue the weyr at this time, especially in light of lack of member participation...

Welcome to the Dorado Weyr website. Dorado weyr is a PBEM Pern fan-fiction writing group. Centered on the Southern Continent of Pern during an alternate timeline ninth pass of the Redstar. Aivas, Landing and most of the artifacts left by the original colonists have not yet been discovered. If and when these technological marvels are discovered, they will not be able to destroy, or stop Thread from falling on Pern. As such passes of the Redstar will remain a permanent challenge for this alternate Pern's Dragonriders.

This is an informational website specifically for members and visitors of Dorado Weyr. As this fan fiction writing group is a PBEM, you will not find fan fiction on the website itself. This would constitute a violation of copyright laws, which we do not condone, nor tolerate. In order to participate you must join as a full-fledged participating member of the group.
